Deviation Actions
Please note group if you are interested in helping out PNP.
Contributors:
The basic role of new Contributors is 4 fold: Find, Accept, Comment/ Critique, and Submit.
Find: Look around the New Deviations, lit resources, and the various lit outlets for new artists and writing to introduce to the group. When you find something you like, use the Submit to Group button and drop down to submit it to PNP.
Accept: Check incoming deviations to be sure they are going in the proper folder, that they are not already featured in over 10 groups, and that they maintain at least a basic level of care (not full of typos, etc). Accept, or Deny (with a reason why the deviation was denied)
Comment or Critique: One of the biggies: comment or critique deviations in PNP as much as possible. Feedback is very important to aspiring writers, and comments should be more then a "Looks good." comment. If you can comment and critique once a week or once every 15 minutes, it's still appreciated and a huge part of the role.
Submit: If you find exceptional writing (In or out of PNP, doesn't matter) submit them for DLD or DD. The best of the best should be acknowledged, and many fine writers don't get the promotion they deserve only because this is overlooked by many people.
(All staff is expected, to some degree, to fulfill the roles outlined in Contributors. )
Specialists:
We are look for people that can do one of two different things: Run a workshop, or play a dedicated role in commenting and critiquing submissions.
Comment/Critique specialists: If I can get a few comment and critique staff, I will set up a C/C folder specifically for those desiring a deeper level of feedback, but I would also hope the staff does not limit themselves to only commenting and critiquing the items in that folder
Workshop Specialists: These people would help with workshops and challenges, be active in trying to set them up, and also help with Prompt ideas.
Guest (Non-staff) Workshops:
We are looking for people that would like to use PNP in order to hold a workshop. These can be journal based workshops (A tutorial with challenge, and comment critique afterwards) or more interactive lecture style (scheduled chat room, etc). Please +note the group with ideas and availability. We will help with promotion and staff as available.

Oops
Anyone that recently submitted something and it expired, please resubmit. I am terribly sorry for the inconvenience but I was out of town and there was no internet. Like I said, resubmit and I would be glad to take a look at them.
Thanks,

Thoughts
I have gone through a lot of submissions recently that do not fit under our submission guidelines. As it takes a long time to go in and explain to everyone what is wrong with the piece they have submitted, I would like to remind everyone that our submissions guidelines are posted on the front page. Please read through them and make sure you understand. We would really appreciate it.
Also, LiterateForPoints is holding Word Wars on Sunday June 10th. Here is the link to their blog: http://literatureforpoints.deviantart.com/journal/Word-Wars-Chat-Tour-306175561

Helping out after the holidays

I noticed an update to the Warm Winter Project, reported by lolly (https://www.deviantart.com/lolly) recently, and wanted to pass the information on to the group members.
The Warm Winter Project is an amazing project run by ToxicAlice92 (https://www.deviantart.com/toxicalice92). Even if you can't donate points, you should still check out the articles and fav them to get some better exposure for the project.

Workshop / Challenge: Points of View : Jan 2012
Goal: Write and submit 2 different pieces as seen from 2 opposing / differing points of view. Both should be related in topic, time and space.
Details:
The young hero can feel his fight fading fast, his hands cramping as the grip he holds on the blades handle slowly begins to weaken. His eyes search the cloaked mans face, tracing each wrinkle in a desperate moment; searching for any compassion, any sympathy. He can feel his voice crack as he speaks.
"Why? Why would you do this to me?"
A baffled look erupts over the older mans face, and he steps back a moment.
"You know kid, I don't really know
